What
We Do

The Parking Meters Division of the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of parking meters in the City of Los Angeles. The division, comprised of meter technicians, administrators, and engineers, handles parking meter and on-street parking related issues/requests within 83 Parking Meter Zones (PMZ) citywide. Through this division, LADOT manages more than 35,000 public metered parking spaces throughout the City, using single-space meters and multi-space pay stations.

In addition to managing the city’s meter system, the Parking Meters Division other responsibilities within all PMZs also include reviewing requests for temporary parking meter removals due to filming and construction, partnering with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in managing the Valet Zone Program, and providing determinations relating to requests for modifications to parking restrictions and curb frontages.
